My First Swap!!

The wonderfully generous Kristy of Vintage Pleasure offered to send me some beautiful oilcloth that I coveted after seeing how she recovered a chair in her daughter's room (here).  The package arrived this morning  When I saw the envelope stamped with the mark Royal Mail, my heart leapt.  International friends, I love it!

Oh what lovliness she sent!  An sweet note on a tag covered with old buttons she stitched on (how clever!) and a bundle of fabric tied up with vintage trim.

She included a second coordinating piece of oilcloth and two beautiful cotton pieces that match.

And if that were not enough she included a sweet vintage Ladybird book filled with fun things to do with your kids.  Check out her Flickr set of them!

Kristy thank you so much for everything!  It's people like you that have made this whole blog experience worthwhile.  It's fascinating to me that technology has made it easier to find friends with similiar passions all over the world.
